-THE NEW MEXICO RIFLE HUNTS-
(TENTATIVE DATES FOR THE 2010 SEASON)
I have no elk draw hunts in New Mexico. Elk Tags are obtained by
guaranteed landowner permits which I supply as part of the
cost of the hunt, but hunters still must purchase an elk license. Bear
licenses are over-the counter, but must be purchased 48 hours
before hunting. No bear hunting after October 15th. Deer are on a draw
which was 100% in 2008. I’ll send all deer hunters a deer
application in March 2010. The deadline is April 7th, 2010.
-RIFLE BULL ELK HUNTS OCTOBER

Oct 16th-20th and Oct 23rd-27th

The October hunts book-up first, mostly for esthetic reasons. The
weather is mostly mild, the leaves are changing and the bulls
are Bugling! Rarely is October our best month success wise, but you do
hedge your bet that you will have a good hunt, because it is
the least weather reliant month.

-RIFLE BULL ELK HUNTS NOVEMBER

November is the migration season. We lease significant acreage on
all three of the migration corridors that transverse through
Unit 4. These hunts are more weather dependant than any other month, but
when you catch the weather it is the “Discovery Channel”
for Elk. Over the past six seasons November has not only had the highest
percentage of success, but the largest Bulls too.

-RIFLE BULL ELK HUNTS DECEMBER 2010-
DATES-NOVEMBER 30TH-DEC.4TH, DEC.8TH-DEC.12TH
DEC.16TH-DEC.20TH
PRICES 1X1 $6,450.00 AND 2X1 $5,950.00
December is normally a cold snowy month. Our leases not only are
on the migration corridors, we also have significant
winter range habitat. This is why the last two seasons December been are
highest success month, and has produced our best
bulls of the season. I often can accommodate late booking clients on
these high success hunts.
